Many bacteria cannot reproduce in cooler temperatures & are destroyed at high temperatures. What are some negative effects of this?

The fact that many bacteria cannot reproduce in low tempteratures and are destroyed at high temperatures is advantageous in many ways to us. But what sre some disadvantages of this effects on bacteria?
